Carmichael Lewis is a highly motivated, resilient, and compassionate individual with a diverse range of experiences. Not only has he been a police officer for twelve years, seven of which he has served in the Chicago Police Department, he is also a published author, entrepreneur, mentor, and real estate investor.

Even though Carmichael has reached great success in life, it was not an easy path. Faced with some adversity as a teenager, he was arrested twice and failed the 6th grade with no supportive guidance. However, that hiccup did not hold him back, and he never lost sight of his end goal. In fact, that moment in time was a stepping stone that launched him to become the person he is today.

Carmichael earned a Master’s degree in Public Safety Administration and received his undergraduate degree from Chicago State in Criminal Justice. He also launched his own fitness clothing company aimed to give back to teenagers who are facing challenging situations, such as he did as an adolescent. Furthermore, Carmichael exercised his creative mind and wrote teenage/child-directed books to guide them to reach their full potential. Some of his publications include "The Ultimate Teenagers Guide to Success," "Shadows Of The Past," and "Mira Mira-Look," which is a second language introductory book for children.

From everything that Carmichael has achieved, his hard work has never gone unnoticed. Carmichael proudly received numerous awards, such as The Superintendent Award of Valor and a Life-Saving Award for his immense dedication and honorability.

Carmichael loves being able to help others through each of his professions. From assisting people in buying affordable housing, mentoring teenagers (through both coaching and his publications), and keeping the city streets safe from crime are all elements that Carmichael lives for. He is entirely fervent about his duties and always strives to leave both people and the world a little better than he found it.
